CPALMS Physical Science Unit with SaM-1 - Grade 3

CPALMS’ grade 3 Physical Science Units allows teachers to combine multiple standards into science units for students through themed adventures featuring SaM-1. The lessons within the units incorporate Math and ELA standards to create an interdisciplinary approach to teaching science, while providing robust and rigorous science content and hands on labs experiments. SaM-1TV videos are used to introduce topics and challenges. Every lesson includes optional station ideas and interactive bulletin board ideas. The units include Engineering Design Challenges and Model Eliciting Activities, MEAs, which allow the students to use their acquired skills from the unit in problem-based situations.
