This is a beginning in the art of pantomime. Students new to theatre often want to use rehearsal time to find or create  an object mentioned in a short scene. This lesson is designed to help students realize they can pantomime those missing objects, walls, doors, and windows and spend their rehearsal time working on character development.

In this lesson, students will tell a meaningful story (showing a complete story arc) without the use of words through pantomime performance using only body language to convey meaning.

Creating a Pantomime:

The students will pre-assess what they know about creating a story through just movement. Students will brainstorm, create, utilize technology, and rehearse a pantomime which demonstrates appropriate stage movement and collaboration with a partner.
