CTE Curriculum Writers Application
CPALMS is looking for curriculum writers interested in career connections!
- Do you have experience writing curriculum?
- Do you have creative and innovative ideas to share with Florida educators and students?
- Do you have unique skills that can help prepare students with career choices/training?
The CPALMS Team is working to create Career and Technical Education (CTE) resources for secondary districts, postsecondary technical colleges, and Florida College System Institutions that will closely connect career skills and CTE content. Lessons will connect CTE to other content areas. Educators will attend a professional development event that focuses on how career skills are connected to all subject areas and how to develop integrated CTE resources that will be published on CPALMS and related websites/applications. Participating educators will be compensated for the development of approved educational resources and travel costs will be covered for qualified participants. Upon completion of the approved resources, participants will receive a certificate for 30 hours of professional development.
Secondary and Postsecondary Curriculum Development Focus Areas:
- Health sciences, including nursing, emergency medical response, biology, and anatomy and physiology areas
- Business finance & entrepreneurship, including business administration, management, and analysis; accounting; financial literacy; math; economics; and entrepreneurship areas
- Engineering and manufacturing, including engineering, manufacturing, physics, STEM, math, and chemical engineering areas
- Computer science, including information technology, cybersecurity, web development, digital media, computer programming, and network systems areas
- Career readiness focus, including school counselors, career case managers, career services staff, and career exploration areas
